S-band usage plays a crucial role in control segment as it helps in conducting duplex information transfer sessions with space vehicle and secure communication data links.

It is known that sometimes GPS shows wrong placement of location tracked. This is due to blockage of satellite signal by buildings, reflection of satellite signals, jamming of signals.

GPS is used in finding location of object. In order to have an accurate location of object, it is recommended to have at least four satellites in contact of object to locate point. Orwise, it may consume more time for having output.

In process of pseudo ranging, at least four observations are taken. By using se, solution of 2D and 3D GPS positions can be determined. But in general, only three are required for 2D GPS positions.

GPS contains three main segments which can be given as user segment, control segment, space segment. The user segment receives signals from satellites, control segment controls position of satellite and space segment utilizes navigation system.

The distance between satellite and user can be determined by using formula,
Distance = speed of light * time difference
Distance = 3*10⁸*(3*60) m
Distance = 54 * 10⁹ m.

There are certain factors which can affect accuracy of position obtained by GPS. Those include position of satellite, atmospheric conditions, satellite clock errors and ephemeris errors.

Among different GPS surveying techniques available, kinematic positioning technique is considered as modern GPS surveying technology. It requires usage of all specialized hardware and software as well as new filed procedures.

OCS can be used in GPS mounted satellites like IIR-M and IIF which are currently in orbit of rotation. These are having high accuracy GPS tracker which can function better than any or satellites.

Fast static positioning follows same principle of static positioning. In static positioning, all receivers are kept stationary where as in fast static positioning, only base receiver is kept stationary.
