Then, x + (x + 3) + (x + 6) + (x + 9) + (x + 12) = 50

5x = 20

x = 4.

Age of youngest child = x = 4 years.

2. The present ages of three persons in proportions 4 : 7 : 9. Eight years ago, sum of ir ages was 56. Find ir present ages (in years).

So, 50 = 2Q and refore Q = 25.

Question is (R - Q) = ?

Here we know value(age) of Q (25), but we don't know age of R.

Therefore, (R-Q) cannot be determined.

10. The sum of present ages of a far and his son is 60 years. Six years ago, far's age was five times age of son. After 6 years, son's age will be:
