Mutual Inductance is interaction of one coils magnetic field on anor coil as it induces a voltage in adjacent coil. Unit of Mutual inductance = \(\frac {V}{As^{-1}}\).

There is a relationship between charge flow through circuit and change in magnetic flux. According to Faraday?s Law, induced emf is given by:

Eddy currents can be used to heat localized tissues of human body. This branch is called inductormy. Inductormy is a method of electrorapeutics in which certain parts of body of patient are heated by an alternating, predominantly high-frequency electromagnetic field, which induces eddy currents in body tissues.

Lenz?s law is a general law for determining direction of induced emf and hence that of induced current in a circuit. Lenz’s law states that direction of an induced emf will be such that if it were to cause a current to flow in a conductor in an external circuit, n that current would generate a field that would oppose change that created it.

In an a.c. generator, induced current due to a change of magnetic flux linked with a closed circuit can be found out using Lenz?s law. Lenz’s law, in electromagnetism, statement that an induced electric current flows in a direction such that current opposes change that induced it.

The mutual inductance of two coils is property of ir combination. It does not matter which one of m functions as primary or secondary coil. Hence, mutual inductance does not depend on reciprocity.

When a magnet is moved towards or away from a closed coil, induced current always opposes motion of magnet, as predicted by Lenz?s law. Thus Lenz?s law is valid and is a consequence of law of conservation of energy.

The force on a current carrying conductor in a perpendicular magnetic field is due to drift velocity of charges along current carrying conductor and consequent Lorentz force acting on it. So, it is due to electric energy which was energy that mechanical energy dissipated in system was initially converted to.
