In his unforgettable speech, I Have A Dream, Martin Luther King is complaining about the condition of the American Blacks of being in the chains of descrimination, inequality, hatred, injustice etc and hopes that in the near future, the Blacks will gets equal rights, freedom, justice and pursuit of happiness as promised to them by the American constitution. He further says that they should continue their struggle until they establish equality, peace, and brotherhood in America. However, their struggle should be without violence. If they keep on struggling in a disciplined way, they will achieve their aims. He further dreams that one day, the chains of hatred, racial descrimination, injustice and inequalities will be broken. The new sun will rise with the rays of liberty, equality, peace and brotherhood.
In nutshell, the central idea of the speech is that the colour of the skin is not important. What is important is the humanity. King wants to end the sad picture by making protest with the policy of civil disobedience and Civil Right Movement and urges all the Blacks and middle class whites to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, and even to go to jail together and to stand for the freedom together so that there will be a sweet music of liberty, justice and equality all over America.
