Tapers and slopes are part of dimensioning. They are calculated through ir respective formulas and are indicated as 1: x, near feature which has slope or taper on m. While drawing se features, having this information sure comes handy.

An extension line also a thin continuous line drawn in extension of an outline. It extends by about 3 mm beyond dimension line. Dimension line is a thin continuous line. It is terminated by arrowheads touching outlines, extension lines or centre lines.

Thick-thin-thick are used for cutting planes, dashed thick (wide) is used for surface treatment, zigzag lines are used for long-break lines and continuous thin line is used for dimensions, extensions and projection lines.

A note is used to indicate information about operation done on a particular feature. It is written near to feature and usually, it is shown outside view. With this type of information of drawing manufacturing of part becomes easy.

In an aligned system of dimensioning, dimension figures are written in such a way that y can read from bottom and right hand side of drawing. It increases effort in reading dimensions.

Leader lines lead dimension line to curve that needs to be dimensioned. It is a bridge connecting two lines. Outlines are main or most prominent lines of object when viewed for drawing. Dimension lines are used to denote particular dimensions.

The center line can be used as an extension line. With help of center line as an extension line, we can dimension distance between centers of circles from outline view of object. This helps in drawing circle accurately.

Lines used to represent cutting planes is chain thin (narrow) with thick (wide) at ends and at changing of position, lines used to represent centroidal lines and outlines of adjacent parts are chain thin double-dashed or long-dashed double-dotted (narrow).

A note is used to indicate operations done on a feature if re any. The note accompanied by a leader line which terminates in arrowhead on one side and a period on anor side. For example, threads on feature may have a note indicating wher it is a single start or double start.

The type of dimensioning followed is chain dimension. The dimensions are arranged in a straight line. In this example, aligned dimensioning system is being used i.e. dimension figures are aligned along length of dimension line.
