About Loveť is a story written by a famous Russian story writer Anton Chekhov where the writer presents the three dimensional love stories and shows the loveť as an unbounded and unrestricted thing which is not bound even by a marital relations.  He sketch the character of Alyohin in the story.

Alyohin is the central character and narrator of Chekhov's story About Love. He graduated from a university. He is an educated man with knowledge of languages. He considers himself as a bookish fellow but rashes around like â??a squirrel in a cageâ?ť , works hard and yet always be penniless.

 He has been working as a poor farmer like a village cat driven by hunger to eat cucumbers in the kitchen garden since he graduated from the university. He works hard in the farm as his father has spent a lot of money on his education by mortgaging the land. Thus, he is hard working.
